Rengga Satria

I was born on 16th April 1989 named Rengga Satria. But people call me Rengga or Ega. My first interaction with photography was started in my high school. At that time, I was using borrowed analog camera. Photography also support my other hobby which is trekking. After graduated high school, I entered polytechnic and took journalistic major. In college, I learned a lot in journalistic but the theory is more dominant than photography. I started self-taught about photography. I learned by asking to photographers, take a look at a exhibition, check out some references in the internet. By learning and practicing, I started to publish my photos. Some of them was put in newspaper and that make me more confident to live in the world of photography. I am very inspired by the work of Henri Cartier Bresson. From a book, The Decisive Moment, I was attracted in Bresson’s concept and visual art. Now I work as freelance photographer and doing a project about Jakarta called “Urban Space”
